Staxi has its own training center where we internally train our drivers: the Staxi Academy. This is where a taxi driver becomes a Staxi driver!
We regularly examine the wishes and needs of our customers. Based on this data, added to our own knowledge of the field, we periodically develop new training programs for our drivers as well as our staff. Staxi distinguishes itself from other taxi companies based in Amsterdam with regularly updated trainings and courses.
Staxi Selectie course
This course is designed especially for our drivers. In this course we share our vision on the Amsterdam taxi industry. We find that there’s considerable support among our drivers for the way we think the taxi industry should be. That’s quite important, as these are drivers that carry out our corporate identity. They are the ones that are in closest contact with you and are responsible for a safe, comfortable and pleasant taxi transfer.
Staxi Dispatch Training
Our dispatchers are an essential part of our quality system. They’re the first ones to come in contact with you and have the responsibility to make sure your taxi is dispatched on time. As such, the operators are a vital part of our quality assurance. That way not only our drivers but also our staff is trained on a regular basis at Staxi Academy. We are updating and improving our system continuously, so we make sure all employees stay informed on the latest improvements.
TX training
TX is a special certificate that drivers can attain in addition to their normal taxi license. To get the TX certificate, drivers have to follow compulsory courses. Each year there’s a general course with updates on rules and regulations. Every other year, these drivers attend a first aid course.
All these courses are presented at Staxi Academy. A certified instructor discusses the mandatory subjects such as changes in laws and legislations, social skills and driving behaviour. The first aid course exists of both theoretical and practical elements. Drivers learn what to do in case of emergency and how to give CPR. You’re in good hands with a TX-driver.
TX inspection
Not only do we give the mandatory courses at the Academy, the official TX inspections take place here as well. An external, independent party monitors and checks if the drivers, their vehicles and their businesses conform to the TX standards. If so, the driver earns a TX certificate with which he is allowed to officially offer taxi services at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport.
TX drivers can be recognised by a blue TX sticker on their windscreen. As a taxi company, Staxi also has a TX certification.
