Most of the year it&#8217;s a fairly quiet seaside village with dunes, a long stretch of beach and a train station that is just a fifteen-minute walk from the sand. Then August 2026 arrives, and for one weekend the circuit takes over completely: Formula 1 is racing here for the last time, and the village will be dealing with thousands more visitors than usual.<\/p><p>So it really comes down to which trip you&#8217;re making. A regular beach day, or the race itself? The two call for different advice, because a taxi can&#8217;t quite do the same job for both.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f400dee e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"f400dee\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-bc60187 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"bc60187\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">A regular day at the beach\n\n\n<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-36a6aad e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"36a6aad\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3411649 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"3411649\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Zandvoort doesn&#8217;t need Formula 1 to get busy. By midday on a warm Saturday, the car parks along the boulevard and near the dune entrances are usually full, and if you do manage to squeeze in somewhere, it&#8217;ll often cost more than the taxi ride would have. Add beach chairs, a parasol and a couple of kids to the mix, and the train stops aren&#8217;t looking quite so appealing either.<\/p><p>With Staxi, you&#8217;re picked up at your door and dropped off exactly where you want: the boulevard, the edge of the Kennemer dunes if you&#8217;re heading out on a bike, your hotel, wherever. The price is fixed before you leave, whether the N200 or N201 happens to be quiet or backed up that day. After this weekend, the Dutch Grand Prix comes off the calendar, which explains why weekend tickets sold out well ahead of time, and why this edition adds a sprint race, the first ever held on Dutch soil. Expect it to be very busy.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7b5df3a e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"7b5df3a\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-987edf6 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"987edf6\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">What a taxi can (and can't) do for you during race weekend\n<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4b6a126 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"4b6a126\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4caffc4 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"4caffc4\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal\" data-sourcepos=\"19:1-19:380;1901-2280\">Worth knowing upfront: <a class=\"underline underline underline-offset-2 decoration-1 decoration-current\/40 hover:decoration-current focus:decoration-current\" href=\"https:\/\/dutchgp.com\/en\/transport\/car-motorcycle\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">during the Grand Prix, Zandvoort itself is closed to regular car traffic<\/a>, from Thursday night through Monday morning. You can&#8217;t get into the village by car during that time, and that includes taxis. Dropping off or picking up right at the circuit isn&#8217;t possible, however much we&#8217;d like to help with that.<\/p><p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal\" data-sourcepos=\"21:1-21:23;2282-2304\">Here&#8217;s what we can do:<\/p><ul class=\"[li_&amp;]:mb-0 [li_&amp;]:mt-1 [li_&amp;]:gap-1 [&amp;:not(:last-child)_ul]:pb-1 [&amp;:not(:last-child)_ol]:pb-1 list-disc flex flex-col gap-1 pl-8 mb-3\" data-sourcepos=\"23:1-25:185;2306-2871\"><li class=\"font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2\" data-sourcepos=\"23:1-23:167;2306-2472\">A relaxed ride to Amsterdam Centraal or Haarlem station, where the extra race trains depart, so you don&#8217;t have to sprint for a parking spot at the station yourself.<\/li><li class=\"font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2\" data-sourcepos=\"24:1-24:214;2473-2686\">An early departure, before the crowds really build up. Trains to Zandvoort run up to twelve times an hour during race weekend, but around peak times, waiting at the station itself can still stretch to two hours.<\/li><li class=\"font-claude-response-body whitespace-normal break-words pl-2\" data-sourcepos=\"25:1-25:185;2687-2871\">The ride home, late in the evening, when thousands of visitors are heading for the station at the same time. A taxi straight home is a lot more appealing than standing in that queue.<\/li><\/ul><p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal\" data-sourcepos=\"27:1-27:178;2873-3050\">Travelling on a different day in August, or coming for the beach rather than the racing?
